I Have A Headache

My name is Arlene, I'm 29 years old, and I'm trying to find my way back to the creativity I left behind in my early twenties. This blog is a collection of ideas, poems, photos, and things that I currently enjoy, and it's my little ode to the way the internet used to be--organic, unpolished, personal, fun. I live in the snowy midwest and enjoy being at home most of all, listening to music, reading, writing in my journal, sending postcards to strangers. When I'm not at home I love to take photos (with my phone or point-and-shoot cameras--I've never had a "real" photography camera, though I'd like to eventually), watch birds and other wildlife, sit on the shores of Lake Superior, go to concerts, thrift/antique stores, bars, etc. I like walking around town (any town) at night and the woods or the beach in the morning. This blog is completely aimless as it currently stands, and that's okay. I've always been a bit of a wanderer when it comes to hobbies, lifestyle, interests, etc. I try many things, I enjoy many different aesthetics; I'm full of contradictions and idiosyncrasies that don't fit neatly into an algorithm. I'm excited to share all of it with you.

I've been toying around with this web page for several days now, trying my hand at basic HTML. I've gone back and forth between keeping it simple and using templates that I can edit, and have finally landed back on this: the spare and humble, black and white, text-only space.
